What is Oncology Esthetics?

Cancer treatment can leave your skin feeling dry, flaky and extremely sensitive. Rashes from certain drugs are not uncommon. Products or treatments that may have been used previously without a problem may now have an adverse effect on the skin causing irritation or rashes. It’s important that clients have a resource for healthy and safe skin care during this difficult time in their lives.

Oncology esthetics is a new avenue of skin care that focuses on providing customized skin care treatment for people in all stages of cancer treatment.

W Cosmetic Surgery® of Philadelphia provides safe, effective, and comforting therapies to people who are currently undergoing treatment, or cancer survivors seeking to minimize the damaging effects of these therapies to the skin.

How it works

Our oncology esthetics treatment begins with a personalized consultation, Visia Facial Assessment report, treatment, and recommendations for appropriate products that are safe to use at home.

Our skin care line includes clean, pure products that do not contain ingredients known to be sensitizing, carcinogenic, or allergenic. We are committed to using products that do NOT contain gluten, sulfates, parabens, harsh preservatives, dl-tocopherol (and other non-chiral ingredients), or known irritants.

We strive to help protect the skin against free radical damage generated as a result of certain cancer treatment. Esthetic touch not only greatly benefits the skin but also provides soothing escape for individuals living with the effects of cancer.

Physician approval is required for all oncology esthetic services.
