Before & After Filler Photos

Hyaluronic acid fillers (or dermal fillers) are an effective solution for patients looking for a fuller, face with less wrinkles. They are one of the greatest and most dramatic in-office procedures we offer, but they’re not a one-size-fits-all solution.

Frequently Asked Questions About Fillers

How long do fillers last?

Fillers in the cheek last at least a year, and some are approved by the FDA to last up to two years. In practice, it is our experience that fillers in the cheek, under the eye and in the midface in general are very long lasting (years), while around the mouth and nasolabial fold results last for a shorter period, from a year to 18 months.

What is a good age to get fillers?

Mid- to late-twenties and thirties are a great age to start trying facial fillers, but they work in achieving our patient’s objectives well into your 80s, especially for addressing volume loss and wrinkles.

Are fillers better than Botox?

Fillers work in a completely different way than Botox.  Botox weakens the muscles that produce the wrinkles, whereas fillers are used to plump up wrinkles, or to add volume or lift.   Fillers last longer than Botox, and so may have a higher cost/benefit ratio—giving you a better bang for your buck!

Where to you put fillers?

HA fillers are incredibly versatile and come in a variety of densities.  Some produce lift and projection, giving you for example a more defined cheek.  Fillers around the mouth can be introduced to help outline the lip borders, to plump the lips and to eliminate wrinkles and lift the mouth corners.  Under the eye filler can help conceal bags that develop as we age.  The temples and jawline can also be improved, and the nose can also be reshaped.
