Facial Reconstruction Surgery before and after, Frontal
66 year-old Caucasian woman was referred by her ophthalmologist for evaluation of a right lower eyelid lesion. The lesion proved to be a large basal cell carcinoma after in-office biopsy. She had a complete excision of the basal cell carcinoma via Mohs surgery leaving her with a large defect spanning the entire lower and part of the upper eyelid. The lower eyelid was reconstructed with a technique called a Hughes flap.
